Woman calls 911 to ask for divorce

The woman called the emergency hotline just after 1:00 a.m. Saturday night and asked for officers to come to her home.
When police arrived they found the woman asking them to give her a divorce and make her husband leave the house.
Officers in Girard Township in northwestern Pennsylvania explained that they couldn’t handle the divorce request and because the husband hadn’t broken any laws, they couldn’t make him leave.
Instead the woman was given a citation for disorderly conduct and misusing the Erie County 911 system.
