Woman abducted twice within hours by same Tulsa suspect

Tulsa police are investigating after a woman is abducted twice within hours on Monday evening and Tuesdfay morning.

A security guard called 911 after seeing a man force a woman into a 1999 silver Saturn near 21st and 129th East Avenue about 12:59 a.m. Tuesday.

Tulsa Police Captain Wendell Franklin tells us that "it does appear the black male has had numerous run-ins with us in the past and he is actually wanted for an escape charge which is a felony."

Police are looking for Steven Lawrence, also known as Detroit.

He's about six feet tall and weighs 220 pounds.

We're told Lawrence took the woman again after her friend took her back to the Plaza Hills East apartments about 1 a.m. today.

Franklin tells us that Lawrence may have been on some court-supervised monitoring that he either took the ankle monitor off, or did not follow through on what he was supposed to do.
