Wife of Eddie Sutton dies at age 74

Eddie Sutton always said his wife Patsy was his "#1 assistant coach."
For the Sutton family, there'll now be an empty place on the bench.
Patsy Sutton died midday Tuesday at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa from complications following a stroke on December 28th, 2012.
Patsy is the mother of ORU head coach Scott Sutton as well as Golden Eagles assistant Sean Sutton.
Eddie and Patsy met when both were students at Oklahoma State University and were married after their graduation in 1958.
The Sutton’s oldest son Steve released the following statement Tuesday afternoon.

“The Sutton family would like to thank everyone for the prayers and thoughts that have surrounded and been given to us the last days we have been at Saint Francis Hospital. We have lost a wonderful and cherished wife, mother, mother-in-law, friend and ‘our honey.  Thank you again for the outpouring of support you have given our family.”
