None - A fall from the 25th floor of an iconic Tulsa apartment building kills a Tulsa man yesterday afternoon. Joshua Hilberling died after falling about 17 stories to the deck of the parking garage at the University Club Tower at 17th and South Carson. The man’s wife, Amber Hilberling has been arrested and is being held in the Tulsa County Jail on a second degree murder complaint. The 19 year old reportedly told police that she was arguing with her husband and pushed him with her hands and he fell through the living room window in the high-rise building. "What I heard was big bang at first and I'm thinking it was an earthquake. Then, I looked out the window and I saw the person," says Mina White. She lives at the University Club Tower and told the News on Six that she lives near where Hilberling fell. “Very sick to my stomach. Sprawled out, limbs bent backward- legs. Just a crazy hot summer day- madness,” says White. Police got the call about 4pm Tuesday. "There was some sort of argument, it was brief, and then the crashing of the window and the gentleman fell out of the window," says Tulsa Police Sergeant Dave Walker. Authorities say besides the couple inside the 25th floor apartment, a maintenance worker was doing work in and around the apartment.
Facebook shows Amber Hilbering is pregnant and the couple had been married since July 2010. Posts on Facebook also indicate the couple recently moved back to Tulsa about a month ago and Joshua is in the U.S. Air Force.
Court documents also show Joshua Hilberling filed an emergency protective order against his wife on May 10, 2011 but it was dismissed 2 weeks later when the couple didn't show for court.
Amber Hilberling is being held in the Tulsa County jail on $500,000 bond.
Tulsa Police investigated a suicide at the same apartment building in recent weeks.
