What you need to do if you've shopped at Target

If you've shopped at Target in the last several weeks, you need to take action.

Thomas Hay with Bank of Oklahoma says customers need to keep an eye on their bank and credit card statements. Hay says, "They can monitor their accounts just by looking at the history.

Hay tells KRMG that BOK and other banks allow you to set up mobile alerts to watch for fraud.

Another way to protect yourself, cancel your credit or debit card and get a new number.

You can also set up a security freeze or faraud alert on each of your credit bureau reports.

You can contact Equifax at Equifax.com or (800) 525-6285 , Experian at experian.com or (888) 397-3742 and TransUnion at transunion.com or (800) 680-7289.

You can also get a free copy of your credit report once a year at annualcreditreport.com.
