Tulsa, Okla. - After record-level cold overnight into Friday morning, Tulsa should get a welcome warmup just in time for the weekend.
"It WAS a cold morning, temperatures dropped down to freezing in McAlester, that's the latest freeze EVER for McAlester, down south of Tulsa," said News on 6 meteorologist Travis Meyer. "Here in Tulsa, we tied the 34 degree record low, so that was pretty impressive as well for this late in the season."
But Trav said temperatures should be getting back to normal levels for the weekend, with a mix of clouds and sun and temperatures in the 70's.
Trav said there was another cold front on the way however, that could drop our nighttime temperatures close to freezing again on Tuesday.
