BROKEN ARROW, Okla. - A nearly six hour stand-off is over with the suspect in custody.
Broken Arrow Police were called to a home in a neighborhood near 61st St & 193rd East Ave.
That stand-off began around 4:30 P.M. when a domestic disturbance turned dangerous.
Broken Arrow Police Cpl. Leon Calhoun tells KRMG that a woman called 911 around 4:30 P.M. Sunday afternoon.
She was able to escape the residence but a 2-year-old child remained inside.
Officers were able to negotiate with the suspect inside the residence and the 2-year-old was released and is now safe.
Broken Arrow's Special Operations Team (SOT) responded soon after the original 911 call and secured the perimeter.
Around 10:15 P.M., officers deployed at least one flash-bang device and then made entry into the home.
The suspect, identified as 32-year-old John Pruner, was almost immediately taken into custody.
