VIDEO: Crews hit gas line sending flames 20 feet in the air

HazMat Crew is working a South Tulsa natural gas line fire.

Tulsa fire say they were called to 77th and Wheeling just before noon.

Investigators tell KRMG that city crews were working on relocating a water line when they hit the gas line, sparking the fire.

A city worker doing work on the water line was injured during the fire.  Fire crews say he was transported to an area hospital.

Flames were shooting 20 feet into the air. Fire department had to spray water on surrounding apartments to keep the fire from spreading.

Fire crews say Victory Christian School is close to the fire, but the school hasn't been evacuated.

The gas line was shut off and the fire extinguished just before 1 P.M.
