TULSA, Okla. - South Tulsa drivers can rejoice.
The Creek Turnpike widening project is over.
The project actually finished ahead of schedule and under budget.
"Whenever you add lanes to traffic like we did and you have 58,000 cars a day, it is not an easy project to do," said Oklahoma Turnpike Authority spokesman Jack Damrill.
Widening the highway from 4 lanes to 6 was supposed to be done in December but crews began picking up the cones Thursday afternoon.
