Victim Services Unit 2013 Vision Award winner

The Oklahoma Attorney General's Victim Services Unit has been awarded the 2013 Vision Award for their work with human trafficking and its victims.

No Boundaries presented the award to the unit for its groundbreaking vision to help victims of human trafficking in Oklahoma.

"We are proud of our Victim Services Unit and all the hard work they do every day to improve the lives of Oklahomans and protect them from harm," Attorney General Scott Pruitt said.

No Boundaries International selected the AG's Victim Services Unit for the Vision Award based upon their efforts to establish policies for working with human sex trafficking victims, ensuring victims' safety, and developing long-term goals for the State of Oklahoma to certify intervention and non-residential services for victims.

Kim Silvia, a survivor of sex trafficking and development director for No Boundaries International, gave the award to Lesley March, chief of the AG's Victim Services Unit, at the annual No Boundaries International Voices Gala and Dinner.

The mission of the AG's Victim Services Unit is to improve services for Oklahoma crime victims and families who have suffered injustice at the hands of an offender.
