Update: Woman claims self defense after shooting teen

Tulsa Police Captain Laurel Ledbetter tells KRMG that, after detectives interviewed the woman, they concluded that she did not shoot the victim.

"She originally tried to say she was involved and then when they confronted her in the interview with her inconsistencies...something changed and then he got arrested," Ledbetter said.

The woman's husband, 34-year old Ismael Deligorio of Tulsa, was booked into the Tulsa County Jail on one count of shooting with intend to kill.

Police are investigating after a woman shot a 19-year-old man, claiming self defense.

Around 7:30 p.m. Monday, police were called about shots fired near Pine and Lewis in Tulsa.

Police say the 19-year-old threw a beer bottle at his neighbor as he was driving past his house.

The bottle hit the driver in the head.

The driver and his wife got out of the car and the two men started to fight.

Police say that's when the 29-year-old woman pulled out a gun and shot the 19-year-old.

FOX23 has confirmed the victim is 19-year-old Darrick Orcutt.

Police say his injuries are non-lifethreatening.

Police believe the neighbors have been in an ongoing dispute for some time now.

No arrests have been made.
