A city spokesperson confirms that the second worker has died at a Tulsa hospital.
The crash was caused when a car speeding westbound on 71st street flew off the road near Elwood Avenue. The car plowed into two workers before rolling and coming to rest on its roof.
Both men were contractors for the City of Tulsa and were working on street lights at the intersection.
Police say the car never showed any sign of slowing down before the driver veered off the road and went airborne.
Elwood Avenue is the turnoff point for Turkey Mountain on the north and Jones Riverside airport to the south.
There were two men in the car, both of them were transported as well. KRMG has learned one of them is critical and the other is said to be in serious condition.
No names have been released and the cause is still under investigation.
