Update: Two men drown on same lake, incidents unrelated

Update: We now know the name of the second victim who drowned on Friday at Lake Waurika, in Jefferson County.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol say Maximiliano Garcia passed away after running into the water to get a soccer ball.  He swam out too far and went under.

OHP say his body was found by sidescan sonar and drag bar.

Original story: Oklahoma Highway Patrol has released the name of a man who drowned at Waurika Lake in Jefferson County.  Troopers say the incident happened Friday afternoon. Gary Burkhart II and his wife were swimming when rough waters caused the victim to yell for assistance.Troopers say the wife went for a life jacket.  When she returned, her husband had gone under and she couldn't find him.His body was eventually recovered.This wasn't the only drowning at the lake on Friday.Troopers have suspended the search for a second drowning victim at Waurika lake until 7 a.m. this morning. OHP says the two drownings are not related.  No other information about the victim was given.
