Tulsa police were able to track down two suspects in a car shortly after five people were shot at the Green Country Event Center Saturday night.
Officers say the passenger was wearing only his boxer shorts.
Boonmlee Lee and Meng Lee, both of Tulsa, could face five counts of shooting with intent to kill, plus firearms charges.
Hundreds of people were at the event, near 31st and Garnett, to mark the Hmong New Year.
Pa Xiong’s parents were the hosts. She tells KRMG, “I thought it was like fireworks or something, and then I turned around and people were panicking. That’s when we knew that it was gunshots.”
Xiong was among many parents who brought their children to the celebration.
There were also many elderly.
Xiong says, “There were three elders that got shot. We don’t understand what happened.”
The shooting victims were all men and were taken to area hospitals.
The victim’s names and ages have not been released.
A Tulsa police spokesman says they found a gun, but it will have to be tested to see if it is linked to the Saturday night shooting.
