UPDATE: Two juveniles arrested for Hwy. 75 shootings

KRMG has learned that two juveniles were arrested Tuesday after several Walmart trucks were hit by multiple bullets Sunday and Monday night.

A father called the sheriff's office and reported that his son and friend were out hunting during that time. Investigators questioned the juveniles and say both confessed.

They are being booked on eight counts of assault with a deadly weapon.

Deputies say they got a call from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office saying five Walmart trucks were hit by gunfire near the distribution center near Ochelata. KRMG news has learned that number has now grown to eight.

More than a dozen bullets hit those trucks as well as a passenger car and a truck from a different company.

The Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office said truck drivers told them they heard noises, but they were not sure if it was gunfire. They saw the holes when they got to the distribution center.

The Sunday shots took place between 8:30 and 10:30pm between 106th Street North and 156th Street North. KRMG news has learned there were other “incidents” Monday night but agencies wouldn’t confirm details.

Some drivers say the news is unsettling. “I drive that highway every day,” Brad told us. “Makes me feel a little different taking it.”

Others like Sandy won’t let it change her routine. “I will drive it every day if I have to, it just doesn’t matter,” she began. She told us this is the new normal. “You used to not lock your house and now you lock it up tight. It just doesn’t matter.”

So far, there are no suspects, and investigators want to check with businesses for surveillance video of the shootings. They say because it is an open area, it isn’t likely.
