Update: Tip leads to the arrest of an accused rapist

Updating a story KRMG was the first to tell you about early Saturday morning, regarding a man accused of breaking into an east Tulsa home, and raping a 5-year-old girl.

Police say Kyle Hancock was arrested Saturday afternoon near 31st and Garnett.

Investigators received a tip from a woman who recognized his description on a news report.

Hancock was found with two other unidentified people.

Police say one of those people confronted Hancock about the rape.  The person told officers Hancock confessed to the crime.

He's said to have told the person, "I have a demon in me."

Police say Hancock is currently out on a suspended sentence for lewd or indecent proposals to a minor child.  The case is out of Creek County.

He had been staying at his mother's home.

Original:  Tulsa Police are looking for a home invader this morning.

They received a call around 4:38 a.m. regarding a possible rape.

The woman told 911 she heard a noise coming from her child's bedroom, went to check it out, and found a stranger inside her daughter's room raping her.

The woman pulled the man off his daughter and he escaped through an open kitchen window.

Police are searching the area of 31st and Garnett for the male suspect.

He is described as white, thin, 5"9" and bald, between 30 and 40 years old, wearing a blue striped shirt and green shorts, possibly boxers.
