Update: Second person dies in Sapulpa crash

Our news partners at FOX23 have confirmed that Jewel Andrews was the driver who died at the scene. Larry Rogers died later at the hospital.

A fiery crash killed a woman and shut down a major road in Sapulpa early Thursday.

It happened about 8:20 a.m. near New Sapulpa Road and W. 91st Street.

Police say the southbound vehicle driven by the woman crossed the median and smashed into a northbound car.

Her car briefly caught fire, and by the time they got her out she had died.

Traffic investigators are still working to determine the speeds involved and the cause of the wreck.

The road was shut down for about three hours.
