UPDATE: Second midtown shooting victim has died

Tulsa Police told KRMG the woman shot outside an apartment complex at 47th and Darlington died just before 1 p.m. Tuesday.

Police have identified the male victim, who died Monday, as 21-year-old Verdell Walker. The female victim was identified as 21-year-old Tiara Sawyer.

Police said the two lived together in a nearby apartment complex and knew the shooter.

Witnesses were able to give police enough information to help them identify the suspect. TPD, along with Jenks police, caught up with the suspect outside a Jenks home.

22-year-old Isaac Ashton was arrested and faces two counts of First Degree Murder.

The 21-year-old male victim died at the hospital. Police say the 22-year-old female shooting victim is in grave condition.

The shooting occured at an apartment complex at 47th and Darlington just before 2 p.m. Monday.

Tulsa homicide detectives told KRMG two people were shot in the parking lot. Both victims were taken to the hospital, one later died.

Police haven't released any names as they are still searching for the suspect. This is the 30th homicide in Tulsa in 2014.
