UPDATE: One of three wanted in Bixby meth fire arrested

Police have tracked down one of the three suspects they believe ran an illegal drug lab that burned down a Bixby home in December of last year.

The Dec. 5 fire destroyed the home in the 17400 block of S. 89th E. Ave. and left a woman hospitalized.

Paul Kappel, 27, was arrested Sunday evening and faces counts of first-degree arson and manufacturing a controlled drug.

Bixby PD Sgt. Andy Choate tells KRMG Melinda Broyles, 28, was burned on the hands and was taken to the hospital.

Sgt. Choate says she and two men, Paul Kappel and his brother Joshua Kappel, 38, later disappeared.

They are wanted on complaints of manufacturing illegal drugs and first-degree arson.

Broyles was featured by TPD as one of its most wanted last week.

She and Joshua Kappel remain at large.

Anyone with knowledge of their whereabouts is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
