Update: Baby found unresponsive in bucket of mop water

Tue, Oct 17, 2017 — We have updated information regarding a Tulsa County case where an 8-month-old baby was found unresponsive in a bucket of mop water back in March.

Court records show Heather Freeman has pleaded guilty to child neglect. The mother received a 25-year sentence, with 15 of those years in custody.

Assistant District Attorney Andrea Brown tells us, "Any time a defendant pleads Guilty and acknowledges their criminal wrongdoing, it brings a measure of closure to all those affected by the tragedy."

From original story:  A police affidavit shows Freeman admitted to a therapist shortly after the baby's death "the baby was crying so they drowned the baby intentionally."

Making matters even worse, the 9-month-old child also had meth in his system when he died.
