The kids are all from Scripps Ranch High School in San Diego and they took part in the video after being asked.
If you’ve never heard of “Twerking” it’s best described like this. Take your rear end, put it in as many suggestive poses and possible and then shake and thrust until you’re worn out.
31 students were suspended over the incident and they may not be allowed to go to their prom or walk with the other students at graduation.
17 year old Lyston McNear was the guy with the original idea.
He confirmed he has been suspended as well despite the fact it took months to film and edit and no one complained in the process.
It should be noted he also covered the video with a music track some might consider offensive.
