Turner Turnpike eastbound lanes closed until 3 a.m. Tuesday

Eastbound lanes of the Turner Turnpike will be closed for several miles until early Tuesday morning.

The Oklahoma Turnpike Authority will re-route all eastbound traffic from Chandler to Stroud.

Cars will have to exit the turnpike at Highway 18, then follow U.S. 66 east to Highway 99 where they can re-enter the turnpike at Stroud.

OTA says a pavement failure in a construction zone requires emergency repairs.

The lanes will be closed until 3:00 a.m. Tuesday.

OTA strongly urges eastbound traffic from the Oklahoma City area to avoid the area if possible.
