Tulsa, Okla. - The woman was discovered by her son Wednesday morning about 10am after he got access to her apartment near 23rd and Southwest Blvd.
We're told Theresa Christian is 59 years old and was in the deep freezer but couldn't get out.
Her son, Jermal Stewart tells KRMG's Russell Mills that the family reported her missing on Saturday but couldn't get ahold of maintenance at the apartment complex until Wednesday to let them in.
Her son tells us that he heard moaning coming from the freezer which he described as being located in a closet-type room and says the door to the closet was closed, but the lid to the freezer was open.
He's not sure why his mother couldn't get out of the freezer, but says she is on quite a bit of medication and sometimes gets confused.
Stewart is relieved that his mother is alive and was conscious when he found her.
Christian was rushed to the hospital.
Her son tells KRMG that her legs were affected by the cold and she will likely have surgery.
