Tulsa woman arrested for shoplifting, leaving child at Walmart

A Tulsa woman is accused of shoplifting and leaving a child at a Broken Arrow Walmart.

We're told 51-year old Jaqueline Marie Washington was arrested Sunday after an employee saw her take merchandise and hide it under a coat in her shopping cart, then leave the store with the child left behind in the cart at the store's front door.

Washington was spotted near Kenosha and Aspen Street and was arrested there by Broken Arrow Police.

We're told that police found several packages of socks in Washington's purse and in her coat sleeves.

Police say the child's mother told them that Washington was babysitting while the mother worked.

She remains in jail on a $30,500 bond.
