Tulsa State Fair has an increase at the gate, with ride coupons

The days of corndogs and cricket pizza are over for another year.

Fair officials say the 2013 fair was a success with an estimated 1,100,000 attendees.

"The Tulsa State Fair is our community's largest family event," Mark Andrus, President/CEO stated.  "Our staff strives each year to provide a safe, clean, friendly and fun event environment, while showcasing a variety of entertainment options and holding true to heritage and tradition. We would like to thank all of our guests, exhibitors, partners and stakeholders who played an integral role in the success of our Fair."

People were flocking through the gates, as there was an 18% increase in paid gate revenue.  Additionally, fair officials say they saw a 20% increase in midway ride coupon sales.

Even internal concessions saw success in 2013.  Fair officials say the concessions saw an increase of 17%.
