A Tulsa police chase wound through city neighborhoods between 21st Street and 129th East Avenue before ending near 4100 North Frankfort Avenue. Two men were inside the vehicle when the chase started right after 12 a.m. Thursday. Gary Kruse with the News On Six tells us, "In the last few minutes of the chase they were throwing objects police believe were drugs from the vehicle." The Tulsa police helicopter tracked the driver who eventually ran over police stop sticks that were placed on the roadway to flatten the suspect's tires. "When the vehicle finally came to rest it had three tires that were destroyed by the stop sticks. They were just shreds of metal and rubber," Kruse said. The suspects tried to run away on foot, but didn't get very far before they were arrested by police.
