Tulsa police chase ends, body found inside house

A tip leads Tulsa police to a dead body.

Police and U.S. Marshals were following George July who lead them on a chase last night that ended at a residence near 1800 North Trenton Avenue.

Tulsa Police Corporal Jack Ritter tells us that the victim was found dead in a bedroom, but the cause of death is under investigation.
Police say that the body had signs of trauma, but no gunshot wounds were observed.
"While (investigators) were (inside of the house) they happened to find the homicide victim in one of the bedrooms. Two suspects are in custody, one from the vehicle chase earlier and one from the residence itself," Ritter said.
68-year old John Hunter was arrested inside of the residence.
Police tell us that Hunter was assisting July in cleaning up the crime scene.
We're told that July will be charged with the murder.
Hunter was arrested for accessory to murder.
Police say that the investigation is ongoing and it is too early to determine the motive for this murder.    Homicide Detectives are actively pursuing several other people that have knowledge of this murder and are not coming forward.
The victim's name has not been released.
This was Tulsa's 58th homicide for 2013.
