Tulsa police arrest man for double murder

Tulsa police and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation partnered on the arrests of Derek Posey on Tuesday.

Posey was wanted as a suspect in a double homicide in Calumet, Oklahoma. On June 16th the bodies of Amy Gibbins and her five-year-old son Bryor were found by firefighters after their home burned down in Calumet.

Tulsa police released a statement saying:
OSBI requested assistance from our Sex Crimes Unit due to their previous investigations and contact with Posey. Sex Crimes Detectives along with our Fugitive Warrants Squad assisted OSBI and ATF in serving a search warrant at 4101 S. 39th W. Ave. Posey was located and arrested at 11:30 a.m. on two counts of Murder.

Posey was transported by OSBI to the Canadian County Jail in El Reno, OK where he is awaiting formal charges.
