Tulsa motel guest robbed, detained by gunmen early Friday

A guest at a Tulsa motel may think twice before going back there.

We're told two men approached the victim as he was going to his room at the Tulsa Inn and Suites at 8201 East Skelly Drive about 12:34 a.m. Friday.

Tulsa Police Sergeant Chris Moudy tells us the victim was going to his room "when he was approached by two black males described as being 25 to 30 (years old) wearing all black."

One of the suspects produced a handgun and took items from the victim and made him go to the victim's room where they went inside and ransacked the victim's room.

Moudy says the robbers took an i-pod, some keys and cash and then made the victim hide in the bathroom and wait for five minutes while they left the area on foot.

The suspects were described as armed with a pistol and wearing all black clothing.

Moudy says there was about a 45 minute time lapse between when the event is seen on surveillance video and when the crime was reported to police.
