TULSA - It may not be "Who shot J.R.," but game show fans in Tulsa have a cliffhanger of their own concerning a local man who's now won five times on the popular program "Jeopardy!"
Because of the teen tournament, Josh won't return to the show until late next month to defend his crown.
He's already won more than $100,000.
Joshua Brakhage, who works with KRMG's news partners at the News on 6, tells us he actually taped the episodes back in October.
They aired in recent days though, so the public is just now becoming aware of the presence of a Jeopardy! champ right here in Green Country.
Brakhage says he made trips to Chicago and Dallas to audition for the show, after taking an online quiz.
Prospective contestants wait up to 18 months to find out if they'll be on the show.
He tells KRMG he went to have fun and enjoy the experience, though he did run into a few contestants who were "out for blood."
As for the fame, he says he never saw that coming.
"I've been honestly overwhelmed by how many people have been interested in something like this. I thought it was just something that geeks like me like to watch, but people from my church, people from my high school, second and third cousins that I didn't even know I had all been really interested in this."
