Gas prices nationwide have declined an incredible 20 days in a row and Tulsa now enjoys the lowest price per gallon of any metropolitan area in the country.
The American Automobile Association (AAA) says the average in Tulsa as of Tuesday was $3.02 per gallon for self-serve regular gasoline.
Triple-A tells us that all the city's QuikTrip locations have gas under the $3 per gallon price and some area stations boast a price of $2.95.
By contrast, the average price in Oklahoma City remains at $3.24 per gallon, well above the statewide average of $3.295.
Oklahoma hit a high of $3.92 per gallon on average May 21.
