TULSA'S ELECTION HQ: Two councilors, City Auditor unopposed

Two Tulsa city councilors can save their money on yard signs and campaign buttons, they'll be sitting this election cycle out at home.

Karen Gilbert in District 5 and Phil Lakin in District 8 had no one file to run against them in this year's city elections.

City Auditor Cathy Ann Criswell is also unopposed.

Blake Ewing, District 4, is at the other end of the spectrum with three challengers, including Dan Patten, Mayor Dewey Bartlett's campaign manager in last year's contentious mayoral race.

District 9 Councilor G.T. Bynum drew one opponent - Paul Tay, a perennial candidate with a rather colorful history.

David Patrick in District 3 also has a single challenger, former District 3 Councilor Virgil Wallace, Sr.

Jack Henderson (Dist. 1), Jeannie Cue (Dist. 2), Skip Steele (Dist. 6),  and Arianna Moore (Dist. 7) each drew two opponents.

The city council races are all non-partisan.

The election board holds a drawing to determine in what order the names will appear on the ballot.

The primary is June 24th, a run-off (if needed) is scheduled for August 26th, and the general election is November 4th.
