Tulsa area heroin supply takes major hit

We have additional information regarding a suspected Mexican drug cartel bust in and around the Tulsa area on Wednesday.

State and federal agencies served warrants at nine homes in Broken Arrow, Wagoner County, and Tulsa. KRMG’s told 10 people were arrested for everything from drugs to stolen vehicles.

Tulsa County sheriff’s office says this is becoming more common.

“This is happening,” sheriff’s office said.  “This is happening in neighborhoods.  This is happening in apartment complexes.”

Deputies recovered 4.5 pounds of heroin, eight cars, two guns, and $123,000 in cash.

It's believed the groups busted on Wednesday are responsible for at least a 1/3 of the heroin distribution in the Tulsa area. Several of the suspects are listed as a hold for ICE on the Tulsa County Jail website.
