A trip to a Tulsa smoothie shop didn't go too smoothly for one bad guy

A trip to a Tulsa smoothie shop didn't go too smoothly for one suspect.

Tulsa Police were called to the Smoothie King at 51st and Yale just before 9 Wednesday morning.

Officers arrived to find a bail bondsman who was trying to take 30-year-old Jonah Edward Beartusk into custody for bail jumping.

The bail bondsman says he ended up in a fight with Beartusk. During the fight, Beartusk ended up grabbing the bail bondsman's pepper spray and spraying the bail bondsman with it.

Beartusk, wearing handcuffs on one wrist, took off into a neighborhood northeast of the shopping center.

Officers then got word that someone, later identified as Beartusk, had broken into an elderly woman's home nearby.

Investigators tell KRMG that Beartusk confronted the elderly woman and took money from her purse.

While that was going on, the elderly woman's daughter arrived at the home.

Beartusk assaulted the daughter and stole her car.

He left in the victim’s gray/teal 2001 Ford Taurus with Oklahoma tag 465-DWZ.

Beartusk is described as a30-year-old Native American man. He is 6' tall and weighs around 200 lbs.

If you've seen him, call CrimeStoppers at (918) 596-COPS.
