No trash service for Tulsa residents on Labor Day

City Hall and most other city facilities are closed for the Labor Day holiday.

Police and firefighters will of course be active as well as any other critical daily operations.

If you live in the City of Tulsa and have an emergency, such as a broken water line, you can call the city’s 24-hour emergency line: (918) 596-9488.

Once-a-week customers will receive trash and recycling service one day after their usual collection day. For twice-a-week customers, the second collection day moves forward one day, except for Wednesday/Saturday customers, who will be collected Thursday/Saturday.

  • Monday collection will move to Tuesday, September 2.
  • Tuesday collection will move to Wednesday, September 3.
  • Wednesday collection will move to Thursday, September 4.
  • Thursday collection will move to Friday, September 5
  • Friday collection will move to Saturday, September 6.

The City’s mulch site is also closed for Labor Day. It will reopen on Tuesday to resume its daily schedule of 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Tulsa Parks recreation centers will be closed on Monday, but the parks’ outdoor facilities will be accessible as usual. City pools have closed for the season.
