Traffic alerts for OU, OSU games

It’s the beginning of a new football season in Oklahoma.

Tulsa kicked off the season with a win after a long game against Tulane. Now, it’s time for OU and OSU to take the field.

The Sooners play at home again Louisiana Tech Saturday at 6 p.m. The game will be shown only on pay-per-view.

If you’re going to the game, your drive should be smooth, though probably slow. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol tells KRMG while sections of I-35 have been widened, you may still run into narrowed lanes where troopers will be directing traffic to certain exits for the game.

“There’s going to be mobile billboards that are set up telling people where to merge and where to reduce their speed.” Lt. Betsy Randolph said.

The Cowboys start their season against FSU and the teams will meet in the neutral territory of AT&T Stadium. That game is at 7 p.m. and will be broadcast on ABC.

The drive between Tulsa and Dallas will be as usual, a little slow at times due to construction on Highway 75. The good news, though, is that your Oklahoma PikPass now works in and around Dallas.
