Rusty the red panda is known as an escape artist.
It was last June when he was able to slip out of his digs at the National Zoo in Washington, D.C.
His escape was the first of its kind for the zoo – so officials were pretty upset.
But Rusty’s adventures didn’t last long due to the sharp eye – and Twitter – of a young woman who spotted Rusty and tweeted pictures of him scampering around the D.C. area.
Why did Rusty escape?
He thought the bamboo was greener on the other side.
Now, Rusty is settled down and has a lovely lady to keep him home.
Shama is his mate and zoo officials are hopeful the pair will give birth to little red pandas soon.
But just to play it safe, officials have moved Rusty and Shama to the Smithsonian's Conservation Biology Institute in Front Royal, Virginia.
