OOLOGAH, Okla. - A 23-month-old boy is dead after drowning in an Oologah pond Saturday morning.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers tell KRMG that Cutter Emmon's grandmother was babysitting him when the drowning occured.
Investigators believe the grandmother was babysitting the child in the yard.
The grandmother began searching for Cutter after she noticed that he had been missing for about 10 minutes.
When she looked toward the pond, she noticed Cutter face down in the water.
The grandmother pulled the boy out of the water and began CPR on him with her adult son who had been asleep inside the home.
Cutter was taken to a Tulsa hospital where he was pronounced dead.
