Three masked men rob nursing home looking for drugs overnight

Tulsa police are investigating an armed robbery that took place early Thursday at the Lakewood Advanced Care Center just west of Sheridan on 36th street around 3:30 a.m.
Tulsa Police Corporal Jerrod Hart told KRMG news what happened. "Three black males came down here to the health care center, forced their way in grabbed one employee that was out front smoking a cigarette."
Once inside the men knew exactly where they wanted to go. "They went immediately to the med room and demanded certain medicines, made the employee unlock the med room" Hart continued.
"Whatever happened while they were in the med room, they got spooked and dropped all of the medicine and ended up getting away with one employee's purse," Hart said.
As they were leaving the bad guys may have given police a good lead. "There is a locked door to get out of the facility and they had a code to get out, we do know there was no one who held the door for them so they knew how to get out of the building."
Once the manager of the facility arrived police asked if there had been any disgruntled employees fired lately and the response was "several."
The men ran south toward some apartments and police dogs were called in "we had canine track up to the apartments and he had a good solid track up to the open fence hole and as soon as he stepped through there the track was lost" Hart pointed out.
The three suspects were described as wearing masks and hoodies, one gray in color, one black and one blue.
Police are searching for the suspects.
