The drive to again become 'America's Most Beautiful City'

The drive to reclaim the reputation as "America's Most Beautiful City" will begin soon in Tulsa.

District 2 City Councilor Jeannie Cue tells KRMG she, and Councilors Arianna Moore and Karen Gilbert, have a plan to beautify the city.

They hope to get a lot of people involved.

"We're not only America's most beautiful city, but I hear every day from people coming in that Tulsa's one of the most friendly cities they've been in," she told KRMG in an exclusive interview.

She says they haven't rolled out any kind of media campaign yet, and don't even have a name for the intitative -- but she hopes a lot of people get on board.

"We have a great city, we love it, and we want everyone to get involved," she said.

And she added it will be a major effort.

"We're going to be pursuing that here in the near future. We've got a lot of things going on, but that's kind of a top priority for us," she said.

She's entertaining suggestions for a name for the project, and perhaps even a catchy jingle.
