Teenager drowns in Oklahoma lake

Sun, March 26, 2017 — We now know the name of the 19-year-old who drowned in Caddo County on Thursday.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports Nathan Williams tried to swim out to a jet ski in Chickasha Lake.

“Victim turned around and tried to return to shore, went under, and did not resurface,” OHP said.

The body of Williams was recovered the next day.

“Recovery was made by OHP Dive team in approximately 20 feet of water, 200 yards north of the west end of Lake Chickasha Dam,” OHP said.

Troopers didn’t release if anyone was with Williams, while he was in the water.
