Teen opens the door to reveal a meth lab

Officers respond to a meth lab call Thursday afternoon and are greeted at the door by a 14-year-old boy.

The incident happened at an apartment complex in East Tulsa.

When officers arrived on scene, there was an odor associated with meth coming from the apartment.  Tulsa police say the teen let them inside, where the odor became worse.

Barbara Hollis and Michael Moreno were found locked in a bedroom at the time.  TPD say the two adults exited the room and officers could see ingredients and tools used to make meth inside the bedroom.

Police then obtained a search warrant for the apartment and aired out the place.

When the warrant arrived, officers searched the bedroom and found a gallon container of Colman fuel, a two liter bottle containing a clear liquid, and a coffee grinder containing a white powder residue.  Police say they also found marijuana on the kitchen table.

Officers arrested both suspects for endeavoring to manufacture and child endangerment.

The teen was taken into protective custody and was given a medical exam.
