Oklahoma shoppers get a break this weekend.
They get a tax break.
Starting at 12:01 this morning and until midnight on Sunday, August 3, any clothing and footwear purchases under $100 will not be subject to Oklahoma sales tax.
There are some limitations, but most purchases will qualify.
Retailer will not collect taxes for those purchases.
For most shoppers, not paying tax can amount to another 7 - 9 percent discount in their purchases.
The Oklahoma legislature approved of the Tax Holiday in 2007, when they passed Senate Bill 861.
