It's time again for a fun, unusual and inexpensive event for the entire family in Green Country.
The tour benefits the Tulsa Garden Railroad Club and will include eight stops across the Tulsa metro area.
Guides can be purchased at the Garden Trug on E. 101st street in Tulsa and Hardscape Materials on South Memorial Dr. in Bixby for $5. The price covers admission for the whole family.
“We are extremely excited to offer this affordable and fun tour to the public and encourage all those interested in garden railroads to participate, said Gregg Sturge, Tulsa Garden Railroad Club. “The club is always looking for others interested in garden railroads. If you have a passion for this hobby, please let us know.”
In addition to this weekend’s tour, Tulsa was selected to host the Garden Railway National Convention in 2017.
“Tulsa club members represented Tulsa in Florida at this year’s convention and came home with the bid after a rigorous competition with Atlanta,” said Sturge. “Our club is proud of this feat and looks forward to showing the world what our region has to offer.”
