Suspicious powder found at Tulsa business tests negative for dangerous chemicals

Six people were quarantined after coming into contact with a powdery substance at a financial center near Owasso Friday afternoon.

Tulsa Fire crews examined at least five people inside the Enterprise building on Lakewood Ave. just south of 76^th St. N. The powder was tested and tested negative for dangerous chemicals and poisons after it was found inside an envelope.

Fire crews said six employees came in contact with an envelope that had a white powdery substance inside.

Other employees who were not near the envelope and have not come into contact with the substance have been allowed to go home.

Many were already on their way out the door for the day.
