Suspect strikes out at Tulsa bank

A 64-year-old man was taken into custody on Monday after failing to deceive bank employees.

Tulsa police say Brent Fields walked into the MidFirst Bank near 42nd and Peoria around 11:05 a.m.

"Presented an altered state ID and a forged social security card," police said. "Attempted to open an account."

Instead, officers arrived and Fields was arrested for identity theft.

He has been booked into the Tulsa County Jail.
