Suspect sentenced for maiming woman

A Tulsa woman was sentenced to eight years in prison this week, in connection with biting the ear off of another woman.

Sierra Shawnee was arrested for the crime back in August of 2013.

Court records show Shawnee pleaded guilty to a maiming charge.  A judge sentenced her to eight years in prison.

Shawnee was also facing charges of sexual battery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.  Both of those charges were dismissed by the state.

She's currently at the Tulsa County Jail.
