Suspect in hit and run that killed Broken Arrow bicyclist comes forward

Broken Arrow police say a man who may be the driver who hit and killed a bicyclist late Wednesday night has come forward and surrendered.

KRMG obtained information Friday afternoon that indicates the man had contacted police, and is cooperating with the investigation.

In a statement, Broken Arrow Police Department spokesman Cpl. Leon Calhoun says "the investigation is on-going and charges will be forwarded to the district attorney’s office once completed.

Due to the on-going status of the investigation the individual's name is not being released at this time."

He says the vehicle believed involved in the deadly collision, a white, 2011 Chevy Malibu, has been recovered as well.

The suspect is not currently in custody.
