A 76-year-old man was beaten before his Cadillac was taken Tuesday afternoon at the Target in midtown Tulsa.
Police say Brian Patterson was tracked down several hours later in a stolen truck near 56th Street North and Lewis.
The elderly mans’ car was found abandoned at an apartment complex.
An officer says Patterson ran a stop sign right in front of a marked police cruiser Tuesday night.
Police say the suspect was driving up to 60 m.p.h. in a 25 m.p.h. zone.
He ended up running five stop signs. One was just a few feet away from a school bus.
Patterson eventually pulled over, but took off running on foot.
Cops were able to catch him at a fence.
Patterson was arrested for many charges, including possession of a stolen vehicle and resisting arrest.
