Suspect accused of stealing from Craigslist contacts

A Tulsa man was booked into jail on Monday for stealing from multiple Craigslist contacts.

Police say one of the victims reported Teangelo Cherry had stolen his 2003 Honda Civic, after attacking him.

A short time later, officers spotted the vehicle near 41st and Memorial.  They conducted a traffic stop and Cherry jumped out of the car and took off running.

Police say an unidentified passenger inside the stolen car didn't run.

Cherry didn't get very far.  A K-9 officer chased him down.

The passenger told officers he knew the car was stolen and there were other stolen items inside the vehicle.

Police say it's believed those stolen items belong to a second victim Cherry had met on Craigslist.

Cherry now faces multiple counts, including first-degree robbery and resisting arrest.
